I have seen this asked a bit so I thought I'd post a quick tutorial on how to add avatars.
From the homepage you will see a row of links (Home, Calender, FAQ etc)
1. Click on the link that says "Profile"
2. Along the top (above the grey bar) click the link that says "Avatar"
3. Here is where you add your picture, click "Browse" and select a picture file from your PC, or if you have an image uploaded elsewhere you can paste the link into the URL box.
4. Click Save, and your new avatar should appear.
Remember they are not to be big pictures, if it's big try resizing it first and saving it before you upload it.
