    Walk Away the Pounds DVD's

Post  Janene on Tue Apr 26, 2011 5:12 am

I just LOVE these DVD's. It's quite enjoyable, not too crazy and you can choose a 1 or 2 mile walk - or if you're game you can do the 3 and 4 miles (with Abs) on other DVDs. Vegie Dance

I must admit, after a while her voice starts to drive me batty - but thats the joys of the mute button Razz

It's an aerobics workout, but it's nothing too strenuous so even my fat butt can manage it daily Stronger

I really recommend them to anyone who can't find the time to walk or who lives in bad weather areas Waiting .

I have had my copies for ages, got them from a friend

But I did a quick search on ebay and they are available there.

    Here's a link to one
    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Leslie-Sanson-WALK-AWAY-POUNDS-EXPRESS-DVD-/160362229312?pt=AU_Movies_Movies_TV_Shows&hash=item2556556e40

It might be worth while to send the seller a message first to make sure the DVD is the right region, so it plays on DVD players in Australia. Some of them on ebay are region 1 which means it plays in the USA and Canada, or you will need a region free DVD player to play it (if you have a region free one you're all set).

    Very Happy

    Thanks Janene

Ebay was going to be the most likely place to find these I guess. I use it a lot so this is not a problem, neither is the region as my DVD player is region free.

No no meg, you don't need anything. It's just a form of walk aerobics. You know, walking on the spot, side steps, knee lifts etc. Nothing too strenuous. You can get those weight balls (u know the soft ones that don't weight much?) as she uses those, but you don't need to use them if you don't have them. I got them, but that's cause I love the DVDs lol

My DVD arrived yesterday - I did the 1 mile yesterday and the 2 mile today. Defintely a good workout. I am going to get the longer walks as well - I have seen the DVD on ebay and it includes the stretchy band! I feel quite left out when they use the band when I don't have one!

Add this to my Wii fit jogging and stepping - and I am doing about 1 hour a day! Though this might decrease when I go back to work on Thursday. The best news though is that I have not given in to the usual heavy snacking that I always do in the school holidays. I have wanted to snack after dinner - so tend to have an extra snack - but compared to the usual sweet treats that I ahve been known to pig out on - that did not happen!

Way to go Steph! Glad you like them. I enjoy them....You do get sick of her voice after a while but oh well...I often put music on and mute her Razz

I am seriously addicted to these DVDs - I now have 3 different ones - the 1&2 mile walks, the 3&4 mile walks (to get the stretchy band) and one with 5 different workouts. I did the walk and kick today - boy did I sweat! I am really feeling the effect of the kicking - but it was great exercise. I am up to 20 mins free jogging on the wii fit - so getting plenty of exercise every day.

Those pounds (aka kilos) WILL come off!

OK I just spent ages on ebay trying to find the Leslie Sanson DVD's and couldnt and then googled them and could only find Region 1 DVD's - can anyone help with this as living in Melbourne it is hard to walk every day with our winter weather already setting in!
    Thanks.

    Hi FeFe

I am surprised that you were not able to find the DVDs - there are masses of them out there on ebay. Look for Walk Away the Pounds and they should come up. Most new DVD players can play region 1 DVDs - I have no idea what region mine are.

Good luck with your search - but if the worst comes to the worst - you can always walk in front of the TV while you are watching your favourite show - just build up your speed over the space of about 30 mins.
