I find snacks the hardest thing to try to sort out. I pretty often end up with good ol' meatballs. Although if anyone has any other suggestions for lean mince I'm all ears! Laughing

I also enjoy prawns so I snack on 50grams of those too.

But I'm wide open to suggestions lol Yes

Hi scaramush janene, scotch eggs are a nice alterantive to just meatballs.Ricotta cheese is another versatile snack option. Jelly ricotta cheesecakes are just yummo. Add a spoonfull of natural peanut butter and a drizzle of sugar free maple syrup for a nice savory snack. Check out the ricotta queens recipies in the recipie section for a heap of ideas. Cottage cheese with a dash of sweet chili sauce is also a nice change. These are just a couple of my favorites you might like to try.

Cooked cold sausages (i use kangaroo or Woolies have a new lean range thats nice and also the skinless ones i love)

Mini tins of salamon (i have recently discovered the boneless safcol salmon which are so much better than picking out bones)

    Boiled Eggs

Roast meat (I cook up my own roast and then divide it into bags in the freezer. Just take it out at night and put in the fridge and it'll be nice and defrosted by the next day. )

Cottage cheese mixed with some dried garlic (you may need some gum or mints after this but i love it!)

Surprised Hello I'd like to know wat you think of protien bars and drinks for snacks and wether they are a good idea. I find the snacks are difficult especially if your always on the run. I am trying these out as my snacks and hope it doesn't hinder the weight loss. I am due to weigh on Monday, so fingers crossed. Vegie Dance

    Hi Kim

I think the general idea is not to have protein bars or shakes every day - but to eat real food. That being said I often have a protein bar on my way home from work as it is an easy snack in the car.

You may find that this slows down your weight loss - which I did notice after the first 2 weeks. That being said I think most people slow down after the intial loss - so who knows?

I made the muffins the other day - and these were great as a late night snack when you crave something sweet and I plan to make the protein balls and cookies as well. Once again though - should not be eaten every day though I don't know how I will resist!

Good luck with your weigh in.

Ive just made these for the first time and was wondering how many balls youre supposed to get out of the mix. I got 6 is that right?

Just had one to try and OMG how nice are they!!!!.
Does anyone know how many of these you can eat in one snack? 50g???

Also I come up with some cottage cheese mixed with crunchy peanut butter for a snack. Hubby not impressed by that idea LOL but I think it tastes nice. Smile
