    Yup sweetie it's fine.
I remember reading that Kellogg’s All Bran & Special K , Uncle Toby’s Oat Flakes are all good choices that comply with BT. I believe you mix up some protein powder with water and use that instead of milk - wich makes it much better. You just need to make sure you get your 100grams of protein, so make sure your powder and cereal equal 100grams of protein.

What's your favourite Breakfast? Empty bread dipped in egg

    Post  jenny80 Mon Apr 25, 2011 2:49 pm

Hey, i tried that one you said, one slice of bread dipped into whipped up egg, though you might think this weird Surprised i added garlic powder, peppercorns, mixed herbs Surprised , then fry in a pan, so simple but nice, the bread was softer than toasting it. yummy! I only used one egg so i fried up a slice of ham and put on top!

I'm very time poor in the morning, pretty much like everyone, so I do the usual scrambled eggs with cherry tomatos. Zap the eggs in the microwave and scramble them up, usually ready before the kettle has boiled.

This week i'm being boring and just having hard boiled eggs with a peice of Fruit (apples and maderins this week cause they were on sale). I find i like fruit more than bread/cereal cause it's like a sugar hit and also takes me longer to eat so feel more satisfied.

Anyway when i did BT previously i used to make up Mini Quiches in Muffin tins which i had for any meal really. It was just whatever vegies (i like to cook them a min or 2 to soften a little) you want shoved into the miffin tin (and i mean shove haha) then top with whisked egg a little at a time cause it needs to soak through your shoved in vegies. I used to be able to get 3 quiches out fo 2 eggs cause i had so many vegies...kinda just holds them together. So it was good cause you feel like your eating alot.

What's your favourite Breakfast? Empty protein powders

Post  FeFe Mon May 09, 2011 5:40 am

where can I get the protein powder you are all talking about to have with cereal? I have noticed some in the supermarket but not sure.
Also, is it ok to have those protein drinks that come in like "popper" boxes that kids drink?

Fe the protein powder is in most supermarkets like Coles and Woolworths. It's generally in the health food section. Just look for ones with low carbs (and high protein). The poppa ones are ok too, the SLM one we like comes in poppas. Just remember to check the nutrients table.

What's your favourite Breakfast? Empty French Toast

Post  Ewan Fri May 20, 2011 4:54 am

French Toast is one of my all-tme fave brekkies. Its BT compliant, and quick and simple (especially if you soak the bread in egg overnight - which also makes the French Toast more fluffy and delicious).
I've been having with some sugar-free maple syrup, or a sprinkle of protein powder. You could even have it with some ham & cheese to increase the protein (or is that a bit weird?)
