    I thought we could share our food ideas on what to do during the detox as I'm sure it's a big question for newcomers.

    For me, some of the things I ate were:
    Meatballs (extra lean mince with fresh herbs mixed through, made in 50gram portions)
    Baked Chicken Drumsticks - 1 Drumstick=50grams of Protein
    50Grams of Cottage Cheese sprinkled with Cinnamon
    Canned Tuna/Chicken
    Poached Eggs (or boiled if you prefer)

    I think thats a great idea. Thought I would add that if your a male you can add an extra 50 grams to your main meals.

    For me I had.

    Breakfast: Omelet 1 whole egg 1 egg white, added pepper and chives for taste.
    Snack 1: 50 grams of deli ham.
    Lunch: Minute Steak with a honey soy simmer sauce.
    Snack 2: 50 grams of deli ham
    Dinner: Fish with Sweet Chili sauce poured over.
    Snack 3: Canned of flavored Tuna.

    Plus don't be like me you need the 2-3litres of water Very Happy

    Ooo Omelet, I forgot about those, I love them.
    Just from experience I'll say watch that deli meat. I try not to have it more than once a day because it usually contains a lot of salt - which makes you retain water and effect weight gain. I realised this last time I was on BT (before having bub) I had a few really slow loss weeks and realised it was the deli meat, I cut back and the loss started again

    ahh well no more deli meat for me then I was eating that too now that might explain the weekend Very Happy only had it once today so thats good will boil some eggs I think.

    Instead of using deli meat I got myself a small Lamb leg roast. When snack time same around I just carved off 100g Cool

    I also grabbed some extra lean mince and made rissoles to have cold for snacks and mains.
    All I did was mix 1kg of mince with 2 eggs and onion, capsicum and chilli.
    It was a little tricky getting it to bind nicely without the breadcrumbs but somehow I managed!

    Cold boiled eggs are a great snack as well Smile

    I don't eat egg which causes a bit of limitation. I think I am eating too much deli meat - though the good quality chicken is better than most. I bake chicken breasts with morroccan seasoning and slice that. I also love baked salmon and ocean trout. Once a week I buy grilled shark from the fishnchip shop - which is delicious. I also cook chicken sausages and reheat for lunch or dinner - kiev ones from Leonards are delicious and I am going to try the spinach and pine nut ones next.

    Some more ideas that come to mind

    Twiggy Sticks (was told about this one - but I love these things)
    Prawns - fried up with a little crushed garlic - mmm
    Pan fried Salmon flaked through some cottage cheese
    Scrambled Eggs with cottage Cheese mixed through

    thanks for all the tips - I have done my shopping so I am all ready to start - cant get the ticker thing working though so I guess until I fix that one up I will just put it at the bottom of my blog

    Hard boiled eggs
    Chicken thighs baked in the oven (i weighed each one before i cooked them and had some at 120g and others at 70-80g so i used some for meals and some for snacks)
    Cold cooked sausages
    Fresh prawns (weighed without the shell)
    Salmon & Tuna tins (just discovered the mini tins of Safcol Salmon!)

    Hey FeFe,

    We all felt differently during detox, but dont forget to take your Multi Vitamins and Metamucil or equivalent.

    Only started today, have Tuna, Ham and Atkins Protein Bar as my snacks today.

    What kind of Sausages are ok for PO days?
