I know "Fluffy Stuff" is ok for PO days.

    Anyone else?

I try not to have sweet stuff cause it just makes me crave it more but if i'm absolutely desperate i go get one of the SLM popper drinks or a Cappacino nut atkins bar...OMG so good!!!!

I don't really plan on making or buying alotof sweet things cause i know if i have them in the house i will binge

I just buy them as i nee them...usually by the time i relaise i have to go all the way to the shop etc i just find soemthing else....or

i know it's prob naughty but i chew on sugarfree gum too....they have all these new fruit flavour ones which really halp take away the cravings for sweets...the new 3D ones taste so weird but so good Lmao

Thought I had posted in this thread before but it seems to have disappeared? Anyway, the chocolate fudge muffins are a favourite of mine at the moment. I'm trying a new recipe tonight for chocolate peanut cookies so I'll let you know if they are any good as well.

I made the muffins for the 3rd time last week and they were not as good as previously done - very heavy. Driving to school this morning I realised that I left out the baking powder! Sure makes a difference! Opps

I know you can have the muffins, balls and cookies on PO days but I usually try to avoid them and stick to pure protein sources. It is only one day and if I have to have more snacks then I do so. It does not hurt my sweet tooth to be without "sweet" things for one day a week.

That being said - cannot wait to hear how the cookies turn out Melly.

Yep Janene they are fine for PO days. And OMG I made some vanilla & strawberry cheesecake muffins last night (adapted from the vanilla & apricot muffin recipe) and they turned out so good! I cut one in half and served it with a dollop of thick cream on each side, so yummy! *drools* I actually ended up making the mixture way too runny by accident, but the upside of this was that the muffins turned out really moist. I will post up the recipe shortly.

Cookies weren't that great. FAR better than the BT peanut butter cookies but I still wouldn't make them again. They were definitely edible and kinda nice but I prefer other sweet stuff I've made. I think protein powder really needs to be avoided altogether to make good cookies (there was only 1/2 a cup in this recipe but still).

I am trying some pecan butter cookies this weekend, they will be pretty high in fat but it will be mostly good fat from the pecans so I'm not too concerned. I've actually been doing some research and it turns out that when you are on a low-carb diet you should be getting a lot more fat in to make up the calories you would normally get from the carbs (if you don't your daily calorie intake could be dangerously low and end up putting your body into starvation mode). So I am going to try adding a bit more fat into my diet and see how I go.
